The HexPad Pro gets the mechanical-keyboard fundamentals right and saves its budget for the parts you touch.
The aluminum top plate has no flex we could provoke, the stabilizers come lubed from the factory, and the stock switches measured a consistent actuation across our sample of thirty keys. Hot-swap sockets mean none of that is a life sentence.
Latency testing put it within a millisecond of keyboards costing twice as much. What holds it back is software: the remapping app works, but macros are limited to five steps and the RGB configurator is clumsy.
Our Verdict
HexPad Pro

PROS
- Rigid aluminum plate and factory-lubed stabilizers at a mid-range price
- Hot-swap sockets support three- and five-pin switches
- Measured latency competitive with flagship boards
CONS
- Companion software is limited and clumsy
- ABS keycaps will shine with heavy use
REVIEW
As a typing and gaming tool the HexPad Pro punches above its price; just plan to outgrow its software, not its hardware.
